A neon cocktail experience like no other
Preserving a neon feel
Our photoshoot at Avora cocktail bar in London was a unique challenge, as we worked to capture the vibrant, neon-lit ambiance while ensuring the photos communicated the two-hour immersive experience Avora offers.
Avora’s aesthetic leans heavily into atmospheric neon lighting, which gives the bar its signature look but also created low-light conditions to photograph in. To address this, we brought in a portable lighting setup that allowed us to balance some additional light with the neon glow without overpowering it. We wanted to lean into the neon colours, casting just enough light to keep the actors and drinks well-defined, while letting the neon remain a central visual element.

The experience at Avora unfolds like a story and the client wanted this to come across in the imagery. Each photo had to convey the excitement and uniqueness of the Avora journey, so we worked closely with the client and the actors to capture those key “wow” moments that would speak to viewers about the immersive storytelling without giving too much away.
Portraits and Events
Balancing the story-driven elements while highlighting the environment and showcasing the guest enjoyment was also crucial to the shoot, as the photos needed to reflect not only the venue’s atmosphere but also the joy and engagement of the experience. We focused on large showpieces and expressive moments of laughter, intrigue, and surprise to bring the energy of the venue to life in each shot. The combination of careful lighting, dynamic angles, and capturing actors at their best allowed us to create images that truly captured Avora’s essence—a neon-drenched, immersive journey that’s as visually compelling as it is memorable.
